When Applying for a LA City Public Safety Officer it is important that you specify which Department you would like to join. For Example if you want to join only LAPD then you would mark the box adjacent to 'LAPD'. If you would like a better chance at getting hired you may check all or departments of your choice. You may choose more than 1 department.
